QUT - Equity Scholarships Scheme - 2013

The Equity Scholarships Scheme, offered through QUT Equity, is a QUT-wide scholarship and is provided as a lump sum to support you throughout the year.

Scholarship Overview

QUT's Equity Scholarships Scheme aims to provide financial support via scholarships, bursaries and free computers to low-income students - including those not eligible for Commonwealth Scholarships. It is available to current and future domestic/international QUT students.

Domestic students can receive:

  • an Equity Scholarship of $5,000 for one year (there are limited scholarships available at this value)
  • an Equity Scholarship of $2,500 for one year
  • an Equity Bursary of $1,000 for one year
  • an Equity computer (a reconditioned desktop computer with internet access and a USB drive).

International students can receive: an Equity Bursary of up to $1,000 for one year.

Applications for the Equity Scholarships Scheme open 1 February, 2013.
Selection Criteria
You must: from a low-income background; be experiencing financial hardship. Equity also takes personal hardship into consideration when assessing applications. This includes: personal medical conditions disabilities; dependants with special needs.
