All about UNSW

After 60 years of dynamic growth, UNSW student numbers have grown from 46 to over 42,000 with over 5,000 staff. The two Sydney campuses (Kensington and Paddington, College of Fine Arts) together with the University College at Canberra's Australian Defence Force Academy perpetuate an informal and lively tone with engaged students and offer a large range of facilities.

Campuses

The main campus occupies 38 hectares in Sydney's inner, south-eastern suburb of Kensington with modern, award-winning buildings that fit naturally within the peaceful outdoor surrounds. On-campus facilities include a 50 m heated indoor pool of Olympic standard; squash and tennis courts; sports ovals; shops; medical and optometry clinics and a variety of excellent bars and food outlets. Entertainment offers frequent plays, concerts, films, recitals and other cultural gatherings.

Minutes away from UNSW main campus, is the College of Fine Arts, one of the largest art schools in Australia (with a reputation to match). Located in the 'hip' Sydney suburb of Paddington, COFA is close to the IT and design centres in Surry Hills and East Sydney as well as the city's art galleries.

In Canberra, the Australian Defence Force Academy provides military and academic training simultaneously to midshipmen and officer cadets - the future leaders of the Australian Armed Forces. UNSW@ADFA supports the educational component of the Academy experience, offering programs in arts, business, engineering, science and technology.

Scholarships Available 

The ASF Postgraduate Coursework Equity Scholarship (ASFPCE): 

Each year up to 2 scholarships will be made available across UNSW for postgraduate study in any discipline. These are open to people who work in charitable organisations on a part-time or full time basis.
