Chief Executive Women (CEW) is a member-based organisation, comprising over 200 of Australia’s leading business women. CEW has a shared goal to facilitate greater representation of women at senior levels of Australian business, government and the not-for-profit sectors.
Founded in 1985 by a group of pioneering female executives, the original mission of CEW was to provide a supportive environment for its members to meet and discuss issues of mutual interest. This has evolved over the years to include a range of programs and activities to support the development of women leaders at all levels within the business world.
Today, CEW runs a highly successful Leaders program for senior women in over 30 of Australia’s top corporations; supports in conjunction with Ernst and Young the CEO Kit which provides a framework for companies to identify and address barriers within their organisations; and provides sponsorships annually to fund professional development opportunities for aspiring women leaders.
