Edith Cowan University - Certificate in Governance for Not-for-Profits - Semester 1 & 2, 2015

The Bankwest Foundation and Edith Cowan University (ECU) support the ASF initiative to enhance the management and accountability of not-for-profit organisations by generously offering up to 4x 100% scholarships for those living in WA and working for not-for-profit organisations in Western Australia to study in one of Edith Cowan University’s Graduate Certificate programs in Semester 1 & 2, 2015. ECU and the Bankwest Foundation are generously contributing 65% and 35% respectively to offer fully-funded scholarships. The opportunity is for full-time or part-time study in 2015.

Scholarship Overview

There are up to four scholarships available and each scholarship pays for 100 percent of tuition fees for the course being undertaken. Preferred not-for-profit organisations eligible for 100% scholarship include those with programs that maximise the education prospects of current and future generations of young people and/or creating employment readiness training and work experience opportunities for the long-term unemployed. All not-for-profits may apply.

The objective of this scholarship is to enable members of charitable organisations to undertake postgraduate studies in the programs of:

Graduate Certificate of Project Management (L39)
Graduate Certificate of Human Resource Management (L76)
Graduate Certificate of Business (L95)

SEMESTER DATES:

Semester 1, 2015 begins 23rd February, 2015. Dates for Semester 2 are yet to be confirmed. 

Scholarship Inclusions:

There are up to 4x 100% scholarships available to for those living and working for not-for-profit organisations in Western Australia, each valued at $8,430. Each course consists of 3x units, each valued at $2,810 for domestic students.

Please note, accommodation and/or travel expenses (if necessary) are not included in the scholarship and will be met by the student or their NFP organisation.

Applicants are required to live in WA and work for charitable not-for-profit organisations based in Western Australia in order to be eligible for this scholarship.

Selection Criteria
The Scholarship is awarded jointly by ASF and ECU to applicants who are Australian citizens or permanent residents employed by a charitable not-for-profit organisation and whose completion of the program would, in ASF's view, benefit their employing NFP organisation. Selection is based on the applicant meeting ECU entry requirements for the nominated program and written endorsement from the respective charitable organisation.
