Bankwest Foundation Community Leader Scholarship Program

WACOSS - Diploma of Leadership and Management: Leadership Development Program (BSB51918)

The Bankwest Foundation and WACOSS support the ASF initiative to enhance the management and accountability of not-for-profit organisations by generously offering up to five scholarships for those living in WA and working (or volunteering) for not-for-profit organisations in Western Australia to complete WACOSS' Diploma of Leadership and Management: Leadership Development Program, beginning in July, 2019.

Scholarship Overview

The Diploma of Leadership and Management will equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to be the future leaders, managing and inspiring others in the community services sector. Participants will learn to build and lead a team, recruit and induct staff, oversee staff performance, plan and lead projects, manage risk, and facilitate continuous improvement.

Participants in the course are people who display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use their communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements. They plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

The course provides a unique experience in which participants build on these skills and experience, apply those skills in practical workplace projects and acquire a well-recognised qualification to prepare them for more senior management roles.

The Diploma of Leadership & Management program fees for 2019 are $6,000 (for non-members), based on ten (10) course participants.
