Perpetual is one of Australia’s largest managers of philanthropic funds, acting as trustee for approximately 1,000 charitable trusts and endowments holding over $2.6 billion in funds (as at 30 June 2017) and distributing over $75 million to not-for-profit organisations annually on behalf of their philanthropic clients.

Perpetual works with philanthropic clients to help their charitable investments achieve maximum benefit for the community. Perpetual’s team of specialists also supports non-for-profit organisations with investment advice and management, tailored to the unique goals and needs of their organisations.

Perpetual is generously supporting ASF in the following ways:

  1. IT Support: Perpetual assisted ASF with Phase 1 of its online application processing system and database of scholarships.
  2. Scholarships for Board Members of NFP organisations: Perpetual, with the support of the Perpetual Foundation and the J.S. Love Trust has funded almost 1,700 full scholarships for the Australian Institute of Company Directors' Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors course, the Role of the Not-for-Profit Chairman course and the Advanced Not-for-Profit Governance course, between 2011 - 2016. Perpetual has also funded other scholarships for NFP Directors through ASF.
  3. Fulbright Professional Scholarship in Non-Profit Leadership: Perpetual is sponsoring the 2019 Fulbright Professional Scholarship in Non-Profit Leadership (more details below).


Fulbright Professional Scholarship in Non-Profit Leadership

ASF, Perpetual, and the Australian-American Fulbright Commission are pleased to offer the 2019 Fulbright Professional Scholarship in Non-Profit Leadership for a seventh year running.

The Professional Scholarship in Non-Profit Leadership provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an emerging leader in the charitable not-for-profit sector to undertake a program of research and/or professional development in the United States for a period of 3-4 months. Valued at up to $30,000, the scholarship will enable the right candidate to delve into research or personal development that addresses contemporary issues of relevance, innovation, knowledge development, impact on policy and practice in the NFP sector.
